Cornwall Council consult the parish council in regards to any planning applications which are made within the parish.
This could range from trees being cut to large scale developments. The parish councils’ role is to discuss each application and provide Cornwall council with their views on each of them as well as a decision as to whether the parish council supports the application.
The parish council usually meets once a month to consider the latest applications. The date of these meetings can be found on this website or the local notice boards. The public can attend these meetings and give their views on a particular application at the start of the meeting. The agendas and minutes for planning meetings can be found below.
