The Neighbourhood Development Plan Vision

‘Perranarworthal Parish will be a place that has conserved and enhanced its distinctive rural and historic identity whilst meeting the needs of its community for housing, prosperity, services and facilities. This will have been achieved in ways that are respectful of the natural and historic environment and help to tackle the local impacts and causes of climate change.’

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led framework for guiding the future development and growth of an area. It contains a vision, aims, planning policies, proposals for improving the area or providing new facilities, or allocation of key sites for specific kinds of development.

Neighbourhood plans relate to the use and development of land and associated social, economic and environmental issues.

It deals with a wide range of issues (like housing, employment, heritage and transport) or it may focus on one or two issues that are of particular importance in a local area.

The Neighbourhood Plan was subject to examination and referendum and then forms part of the Local Development Plan.
